Houston JMP
About Us
The Houston Jain Mentorship Program is a program where mentors - current college students and recent college graduates - are paired up with mentees, high school juniors and seniors based on college and career interests.
Every month, we create a number of files on various themes, such as resume review, scholarships, summer opportunities, essay editing, and more. Mentors and mentees do monthly check-ins via phone call or video chat and discuss the "monthly theme". We also create a variety of webinars, panels, and workshops on a number of topics.
Through JMP, we hope that juniors and seniors in high school develop a better understanding of their preferred career interests and discover possible opportunities to further their career, feel ready to tackle college and make informed decisions on their college selection, and have a better understanding of how to implement Jain values in college.
